Scoble talks Win XP SP2
Rob Scoble talks at length on Win XP's SP2. I know he is Microsoft. But if you read the post, the people and sites he references are not so MS friendly and they are not saying bad things about it. Give it a read if you have XP and are thinking of installing it. As of this writing, I have not taken the plunge. Probably another month or so. Not sure what your are recommending Red, but might be worth a look.

F7 this
This is cool, from Neal's Admin Notes. In a cmd window, if you press F7, it will come up with all of the recent commands you entered in. Use up and down arrows and enter key to select and execute them. Ubergeek indeed.

Via Neal's Admin Notes as well, a link to PC Linux Online that talks about password sec. It lists in alpha order passwords that should never be used due to dictionary hacks etc. as they say,
Hackers also have no problem compromising systems with weak passwords. Programs like L0pthCrack for example make the process simple and efficient. Creating a password-cracking dictionary is not even a challenge. Type the words "Creating Password Cracking Dictionaries", without the quotes, in to your favorite search engine. A comprehensive dictionary can be downloaded or created from scratch in short order.
Good advice. Any of the ones you use there?

got any extra fabric?
Mentioned by Sher, apparently the UK women's swim team in Athens were using see through swim suits. Get this: when they get wet, the white lycra turns transparent. Really? A wet swim suit? No one would test that before getting to Athens? Come on, people... :)

Cool Commercials
Via K - not cycling K - but rather, ah, let's call her K Speaking, this Escher inspired commercial for Audi. Some of the other commercials are quite clever there as well.

Lance interview
Lance did an interview with Austin TV recently. And get this, Red got to see the charlie rose interview with Lance last night. Mentioned it when we were doing the laundromat thing this evening... Not fair! :)

Carpe Diem
