Two Business Blogging articles
Blogging/Business: Micro Persuasion posts. The first one comments on a Fortune Magazine short article on Sun Microsystems: Business embraces the new medium as executives read—and write—blogs:"But some managers find that even more important than writing blogs is reading them. During a recent conference for Microsoft software developers, top company executives huddled backstage reading up-to-the-minute blogs written by the audience to get a sense of how their messages were being received."
Another longer piece which is essentially notes taken from a breakfast meeting in NYC whose topic was 'the Business of Blogging.' They are just sound bites, one liners and such, but some made me think more about blogging. I wonder if he ever thought of recording the breakfast as streaming audio?
Three videos
Entertainment/Video: Episode of the Fox X-Files spin off show Lone Gunman. Chilling. The comment said that it was aired before Sept. 11 happened.
Do the Nextel Dance
Entertainment/Video: And this MOV file of a Nextel commercial which is much more funny. And shorter. :)
Microsoft Web Seminar
Geek Alert/Video:And a third video is a web seminar from Will Poole, Senior Vice President for Windows Client at Microsoft. Talks about Growth through Innovation. It 'aired' before SP2 was released in August. A fair bit about Security, SP2, media centre, and a whole lot more. This guy talks the talk, so does one of his team mates that gives a Security Demo in the presentation. It's good to see senior MS management are as knowledgeable about their products as they really need to be.
Text on the page is the transcript of the webcast. The small window streaming content was flicker free and crystal clear - but don't make it full screen or it will look blocky and crap. I pushed it off to the edge of the monitor and watched it out of the corner of my eye as I continued to do other things. (It's 50 mins long...)
Carpe Diem
