Mile and a half rest house seen after passing it - It's in the lower Left corner of the picture. The top of the cliffs is where I have to finish and where I started.
It took a further 45 mins of continues one foot in front of the other slogging to get to the Mile and a Half Rest house at 5720 feet. I was now soaked with sweat to the point the occasional rivulet was flicking off of the brim of my baseball cap and hitting my hands or arms. nothing like an Ice Cold Baseball cap on your head... One Power Gel boost and I was on my way again.(Seriously. They work.)
If my pace an hour ago was swift, it was nothing but now. My legs were as if they were twice as heavy as they should be and small steps were all I could do. I was going slow and steady now. No worries about getting to the top, but I was going to have to keep moving.
Carpe Diem
