digipics change the industry photos: You can't help but know this on some level if you have a digital camera. For example I have well over a couple of GB of pictures. Re-sized, enlarged, different resolution etc. I have printed out some pictures since the fall of 2003 when I bought my digicam. Perhaps a couple of hundred. But I have taken several thousand because I can. There are an infinite number of digital pics out there now and venues such as flickr to show/share them on. There isn't as much of a need to share these pictures on paper anymore. Probably people who read this blog will agree with me on that point whether they use a digicam or not. Will printing out via professional services go away? No. But as local in house - as in "in your house" - printing gets better and better, and the price point drops to make it worth while, there will be less and less revenue for places that develop film.
