Good deals stuff: I went into Forest City Imaging here in London at Dundas and Clarence before work. I wanted to see if they had any filters. They did and I picked up a a circular polarizing filter and an 0.9 ND filter. the first will bring up a washed out blue sky and clouds and make some contrast. The ND is a neutral density filter. If it is really bright outside it will limit the amount of available light reaching the CCD and allow for longer exposures. That way you can have some interesting landscape effects especially with running water.
Anyhow, they were having some sale. Two for one sale on the filters. Good filters are not cheap. They do very special things. And instead of paying close to 90 bucks for two of them, I got them for about fifty tax included. I was impressed. the place doesn't have the gear of Henry's, but they are close, and can make big prints. I think I will get some bigger prints done there after the trip.
That was a great find.
Carpe Diem
