vacation: With not as much fanfare, more the beep of the swipe card releasing the mag lock on the main entrance at work, I left work for two weeks plus a couple of days. Drove Kara home first, and then got some relatively cheap gas. Carpe Gassem.

Spectacular harvest like moon out there tonight. There won't be any full moon over the next couple of weeks which should make the northern lights potential quite good, but the moon sans any city lights would be good too.

Got some rushing around to do later today (thursday) and then depending on various sleep related factors, I will be on the way about 24 hours from now.

Hard drive backed up, degfragged (man that took a while) and somewhat tidied up of digital flotsam. Lots of batteries of various flavours, some gear and clothes laid out and/or otherwise figured out. But not there yet.

Oh, I have a cool flashlight which, yes Sherry it does look like a CSI one, and lots of other bits n pieces which needs sorting, packing etc. I also found my Northface parka and not matched North Face polar fleece liner do zip together quite well. Three whale watching jackets in one.

Going to kick back and watch some TV.
