Repair
photos: the Repair party was last night. It was pretty good. Hot in the Repair Lab for sure. 50-70 people in a small space with one tiny AC unit in Toronto's uber humid 30C weather made it probably 40C inside. I shot handheld and with no flash as the odd time people did it, it was way to blinding. So the results were artsy. Or blurry. But I am calling them artistic.
The music was really good and it was great to hear Dawn sing about 13 tracks. Deep and stylish and sultry. :) I had only heard one track all the way through and a couple of samples up to this point. These folks are talented. No idea how the streaming part of the show went. One of the Thibideau brothers said to me they wouldn't find out till today.
Only downer was having to leave and drive back from Toronto to London shortly after the live sets and not spend more time there after the show. The conversation during the cool down walk outside was interesting and it would have been good to talk more... Oh, that And not scoring a comp CD as they ran out of them before I could pick one up. Hopefully Dawn will be able to hook me up with one! Check out the pics on Flickr.
