James Doohan has Alzeheimers
James Doohan, the actor that played "Scottie" on Star Trek, has Alzeheimers. I read it on a post from WWDN. Wil was speaking at the farewell Trek Con in Hollywood that Doohan was appearing at this past weekend. He included the speech he was giving. That sucks. All I could think of was a scene from Star Trek V where Scottie was walking down one of the cooridors of the Enterprise and saying in his thick scots accent that he knew the ship like the back of his hand - and then promptly turned and smacked his head into a overhead beam and knocked himself out. Scottie not knowing how to fix things... I am making light of it, but it's sad.
Backed up Work4Bandwidth
I just did one of my back-ups of the blog. Came to a total of 298 pages in Word. Yikes.
Ride till you almost puke.
The weather this week is looking great. Went for a short ride this morning to the East end of the bike path and back. Changed tactics. Now I ride shorter distances, but put my all into it. I have talked about Meadownlilly hill before. Goes from the Thames near Hamilton Rd, up the eascarpment and ends at Commissioners near the convenience store at the subdivision East of Highbury. I shredded the hill today. Completely out of the saddle and not in a granny gear (ie super easy climbing gear). Took a really, really short 2min 16sec. I was a little light headed and a touch nauseous at the top. Heart rate around 170bpm. Man that was brutal.
Loved it. :)
Carpe Diem
