Longhorn Delays
Spent some time reading Scoble's blog - and links off it - this morning before work. The announcement came last Friday that Longhorn - the future Microsoft OS - would be delayed to 2006. Some components, such as the much touted WinFS file searching system for instance, will not be included in it right away.
This caused a big uproar in the pro and con crowds. Read posts he has on the reactions, and his thoughts on what happened behind the scenes. Interesting stuff. His site is always crammed complete with info. Especially right now. Check out some of the commentary.
MSN IM 150
I found it interesting in one of his posts to find that MSN Messenger has a limit on the number of contacts. 150 only. That sounds like enough for most people. But if you work in business, it might not be. Especially if there are a lot of people at your business who rely on IM for contact. Still have not tried the Beta of the MSN Web Messenger, by the way. Anyone used it yet?
Carpe Diem
