Just include the dealer and financing info and here is an advert for the new Pontiac 200hp G6. Mojave Desert.
The pass at Clarke mountain, on the North side of the Mojave Preserve was at about 4300 ft. and at the bottom at Primm NV its about 2000 less. As an illustration of how fast the drop is at the end, my water bottle compressed easily ½ an inch on both sides from the increase in air pressure. I had never seen this happen in a car before. Only aircraft.
Hwy 15 going into Nevada is one big decline from this point got to go down hill for 12 miles. It must have seen some really bad accidents in it’s time as there is a runaway truck lane about 2/3 of the way down. It consists of a 1000 foot lane wide stretch of loose gravel in which the truck with no brakes can come to a likely safe stop. Better than the alternative that’s for sure. (edit: this is perhaps a common thing in the mountains as I saw one of these lanes between Flagstaff an Phoenix too).
