Short post today. Got to pick up the slack for all the other London bloggers... ahem
Hi Joan in NZ!
Glad you liked the pictures of my Vacation! I will mail a CD of bigger and better ones to you soon.
Does your blog suck?
Blogs: Read this blog earlier today. There was a post describing what adds to the suck value of blogs. Sums up quite a few blogs.
Oops at Loblaws.
Retail Tech: So I went to Loblaws (that's a grocery store for those not in Canada) and went to the Kodak self service robo kiosk to put some of the pics onto paper and enlarge some of the ones I already printed of the Grand Canyon. So, I am in there and there is only one other customer talking with the sales person about cameras well away (15 feet on the other side of a display island) from the machine.
Well, turns out that she was using the machine - not obiously and had spent some time setting up her pictures. They both saw me go over and insert the CD and start to pick the photos. And then about a minute later, she comes over with the sales person and looks mortified that all the set up work had been lost cuz I hit the Start button. I felt bad, but newsflash: 1) don't walk away from something you have been working on for a while in a store without it being obvious it is a work in progress, and 2) if you see someone go over to it and spend more than a few seconds, say something like "hey, I am using that." nOObs
Carpe Diem
