Just realized it's ten days
vacation: I woke up this morning and changed my messenger name to something other than "zzz's". "Down East in 10 Days" is what I changed it to in part (the whole name is much bigger). Wow. That isn't much time to get organized. My upcoming weekend is going to be a busy one of sorting really planning what I am going to need to take - and then cutting that in half because I think that some things in retrospect will be pointless.

Cool thing is that it will be nice to not have to drag luggage through an airport and wait for it to turn a carousel in arrivals... I can take more than the minimum. This will be the first road trip ever allowing me to do this. The others - San Diego to Phoenix and all over Florida had minimal bags since I flew there first. I have more than a few scraps of paper on which I have jotted down what I am taking. I need to make some sort of single list that has legible hand writing on it!

OK, I am going to go to Archie's for breakfast before work. Day one with my new team and I want to have a full stomach since it is going to be a busy few days!

PS, those of you who have sent me a link or two, thanks! I have not forgotten about them. :)

PPS I guess driving down to Kentucky when I went in the fall of 2003 in my first CRV would count as the first long road trip, though it will only be a third of this beast.
